DMCA / Copyright Policy

237 Host respects intellectual property rights and complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and applicable copyright laws. This policy describes how to report copyright infringement on our platform.

1. Filing a Takedown Notice

To file a copyright takedown notice, send an email to admin@237host.com with the following information:

• Identification of the copyrighted work — Describe the original work that you claim has been infringed (include URLs, titles, or other identifying details).
• Identification of the infringing material — Provide the exact URL(s) on 237 Host where the infringing content is located.
• Your contact information — Full name, mailing address, email address, and phone number.
• Statement of good faith — "I have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
• Statement of accuracy — "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner."
• Physical or electronic signature — Type your full name as your signature.

2. What Happens After Filing

1. We review the notice within 48 hours.
2. If the notice is valid and complete, we remove or disable access to the infringing content.
3. We notify the user who deployed the content and provide them with a copy of the takedown notice.
4. The user may file a counter-notice if they believe the takedown was made in error.

3. Counter-Notice

If your content was removed and you believe it was removed in error, you may file a counter-notice by emailing admin@237host.com with:

• Identification of the removed content and its original URL
• A statement: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of a mistake or misidentification."
• Your consent to local jurisdiction (Cameroon courts)
• Your contact information and signature

If we receive a valid counter-notice, we may restore the content within 10-14 business days unless we receive notice from the original complainant that they have filed a court action.

4. Repeat Infringers

We maintain a policy of terminating accounts of users who are found to be repeat infringers of copyright. A "repeat infringer" is a user who has had content removed under this policy more than two times.

5. False Claims

Filing a false DMCA notice may result in legal liability for damages. Make sure you are the copyright owner or authorized to act before filing a notice.
