Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") defines the rules for using 237 Host's services. By using our platform, you agree to comply with this policy. Violations may result in content removal, account suspension, or termination.

1. Prohibited Content

You may not use 237 Host to host, store, transmit, or link to any of the following:

• Illegal content under Cameroon law or the laws of your jurisdiction
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — zero tolerance, reported to authorities
• Malware, viruses, ransomware, or other malicious software
• Phishing pages, credential harvesting, or social engineering tools
• Spam infrastructure (bulk email senders, botnet command-and-control)
• Pirated software, copyrighted content distributed without authorization
• Extremist, terrorist, or violent radicalization content
• Content promoting hatred, discrimination, or violence against any group
• Non-consensual intimate imagery or revenge porn
• Online gambling platforms operating without required licenses
• Unlicensed pharmacies or distribution of prescription drugs

2. Prohibited Activities

• Launching DDoS attacks from our infrastructure
• Port scanning, brute-force attacks, or intrusion attempts against other systems
• Cryptocurrency mining using server resources
• Reverse engineering or attempting to access other users' data
• Reselling or sub-licensing our services without authorization
• Using automated tools to overwhelm our APIs or servers (rate limit evasion)
• Deploying applications that consume excessive CPU, memory, or bandwidth beyond your plan limits

3. Security Scanning

All uploaded files and GitHub deployments are automatically scanned with ClamAV antivirus before deployment. If malware is detected, the deployment will be blocked and you will be notified. Repeated malware uploads may result in account suspension.

4. Resource Usage

Each hosting plan includes specific resource limits (storage, bandwidth, CPU). You must stay within your plan's limits. We may throttle or suspend services that exceed plan limits consistently. Resource-intensive applications (e.g., video encoding, large-scale data processing) may require a dedicated plan.

5. User-Generated Websites

You are responsible for the content of websites you deploy on 237 Host. If we receive a valid complaint about your content, we may:

• Notify you and request removal or remediation
• Temporarily disable the affected website
• Permanently remove the content and suspend your account for serious or repeated violations

6. Copyright Violations

Copyright infringement is handled under our DMCA Policy. We respond to valid takedown notices and may terminate accounts of repeat infringers.

7. Reporting Violations

To report a violation of this AUP, email admin@237host.com with:

• The URL or domain of the offending content
• A description of the violation
• Evidence (screenshots, logs, etc.) if available

We investigate all reports and take appropriate action within 48 hours.

8. Enforcement

Violations of this AUP may result in:

• Warning — for first-time, minor violations
• Content removal — prohibited content is deleted
• Temporary suspension — account disabled for a defined period
• Permanent termination — for serious or repeated violations
• Legal action — for illegal content or activities

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this AUP at any time. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
